The project promoted by the Ayalon Highways Company includes approximately 110 km of expressways connecting Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, Netanya, Rosh HaAyin, and Highway 5, and is based on new infrastructure that will not affect the current road network. The lanes will also serve ride-sharing of three or more passengers. The project includes the construction of five huge "park and ride" parking lots on the metropolitan outskirts, at the entrances to the expressways. The parking lots, the largest of their kind in the country, will include 24,000 parking spaces and will allow tens of thousands of Israelis to reach their workplaces via free shuttle services. The lines will depart frequently to various destinations throughout Tel Aviv, with extra service during peak hours. The company manages all community and information interfaces for Ayalon Highways in the huge project, as well as special projects for public participation and public space design along Israel's busiest traffic route.
