The farm will be the focal point from which regional initiatives will emerge and to which broad measures will be connected as part of the strategic plan for the Gezer Heritage Area formulated by the company. The company manages the formulation of the program and the opening of the farm as part of the overall spatial concept.
Herzl Farm in the Hulda Forest—the first Hebrew forest, will open to the public as a "seasonal cultural center" utilizing the open spaces of the house as well as the extensive forest areas surrounding it. The content activity will be divided into the four seasons, which express the unique elements of the Gezer Heritage Area and the First Israeli Forest: Fall – Agriculture: Forestry and the Farm; Winter – Environment: Sustainability, Hiking and Cycling; Spring – Heroism: Ethos and Myth; Summer – Settlement: Localities at the Focus of the Activity. The site will be a home and platform for initiatives, creators, artists, and activists who, in their work, give expression to "green" power: forestry and botany – fields that integrate, value, and activate spatial heritage for transformative change. The farm will serve as a hub for regional initiatives connected to broad measures as part of the company’s strategic plan for the Gezer Heritage Area. The company is overseeing the formulation of the program and the initial steps of the farm as part of the overall spatial concept. The opening of the farm in the very place where, in 1907, afforestation forever changed the face of the country, is a landmark step that will advance the perception of spatial heritage in Israel.
