The product of the joint work is a strategic plan and roadmap for developing and promoting a local innovation ecosystem in Beersheba.
The city of Beersheba was selected by the government team for the promotion of innovation districts to lead a first-of-its-kind innovation district in Israel. The project was promoted in cooperation with the Beersheba Municipality, the National Economic Council in the Prime Minister's Office, and the Ministry of Construction and Housing, with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and the Israel Land Authority.
The result of the joint work is a strategic plan and roadmap for developing and promoting a local innovation ecosystem in Beersheba. The plan includes several levels: an innovation and development agenda, physical planning, and urban development, as well as mechanisms for implementation and management of the district.
A team of international consultants specializing in the development of innovation districts around the world led the work in collaboration with the company’s local team who managed the process and formulated the strategy in association with Ben-Gurion University, Soroka Hospital, and other local partners such as the Ministry of Defense and the IDF.
