The company prepared a conceptual strategic plan for the Haifa Port Company for the development of Phase I of opening the city's waterfront based on extensive regional thinking and the creation of partnerships for future operation.
The British were the first to recognize the potential of a modern port on the coast of Haifa to replace the existing piers and began the work, which included reclamation of the front coastal strip that became Derek HaMelakhim.
In 2017, the plan to develop an urban waterfront in Haifa for the benefit of the city's residents and tourists was approved. The plan includes development of commerce, tourism, public and residential buildings, and redesigning of the commercial piers as an open public space.
The company prepared a strategic concept plan for the Haifa Port Company for development of the first phase of the project—opening the city's waterfront. The plan is based on extensive regional thinking and the creation of partnerships for future operation. It includes an envelope concept for the port and buildings, an initial marketing strategy, and guidelines for the physical planning—accessibility, landscape planning, and traffic, as well as content-related planning for a mix of uses of the space, collaborations, and more.
As part of the work, the company prepared a detailed plan for the design, occupancy, and operation of the historic administration building that will mark the port’s opening. Our team continues to manage the physical planning and promote the content system, prepare tenders, and lead the branding process for the plan’s implementation.
